12pm Wednesday, Emma dir. Autumn de Wilde, The Lido Theater

I’d been meaning to drive to Newport Beach just to check out The Lido for a while and the opportunity presented itself on the most beautiful spring day. If you purchase anything from their (very cute) lobby cafe between 7am and 2pm, you get to go in the theater and watch whatever movie’s playing for free. So cool! Myself and

got coffee and croissants and headed in to watch Emma but not before spending several minutes admiring the beauty of the theater. I love when theaters find new ways to bring people in - even if you don’t have time to stay for a whole movie you can still sip your coffee in a beautiful theater and see some of your neighbors.
