1. What’s your favorite day & time to go to the movies?

Since I pivoted to working full time as a freelance film writer I see a lot of movies during press screenings (usually at noon or 7pm on Mondays or other random weekdays) or at film festivals, but once upon a time my favorite thing to do was to do double features. When I lived in Berkeley for undergrad, I would usually go on Friday nights or sometimes Thursday midnight premieres. When I lived in San Francisco during grad school, I would go to the Castro Theatre several times a week to do classic film double features -- two movies for $10! Usually I would go to the ones that started at 2pm and ended at 6pm because they were during the day so it would just be an older crowd and then me (I even would try to arrange my gra…
