1. What’s your favorite day & time to go to the movies?

Thursday’s at 8pm or Saturday matinees. I love to see new releases on the day they come out, and there’s something about seeing a movie as a start to your weekend (which can apply to both Thursday or Saturday screenings).

2. What’s your favorite movie theater?

Music Box Theater is hard to beat. While I love many of Chicago’s cinemas (Doc Films, Gene Siskel Film Center, Davis Theater), there’s a certain magic to Music Box. I’ve seen screenings with only a handful of folks, and I’ve waited in lines that wrap around the block with over 700 people. Their programming, albeit sometimes “bro-y,” has provided me with so many opportunities to see classics on the big screen for the first time with a premier-esque experience.
