Ben is a musician based in Los Angeles and a part of the band MGMT.

1. What’s your favorite day & time to go to the movies?

When I lived in NYC and my air conditioner wasn't working, I loved going to the movies in the middle of the day to escape the summer heat.

2. What’s your favorite movie theater?

Vidiots. Whenever a programmer comes out to introduce a movie, they always seem so genuinely excited to share it with people, especially those who are seeing it for the first time.

3. What’s your go-to movie theater snack & drink combo?

I have a pathological obligation to consume an entire package of Red Vines every time I go to the movies. Often accompanied by a glass of mediocre Chardonnay.

4. What’s your dream movie theater snack & drink combo?

See above, but I do have a ranking of theaters based on the freshness of their Red Vines (Vidiots is consistently great, AMC unfortunately needs to do better).

5. What’s the best seat in a movie theater?

Maybe about 6-7 rows back. If it's IMAX, right …
