The Red Vic movie house ripped. They had the best popcorn in the city and the most comfortable seats. I also publicly cried during Melancholia when I saw it in San Francisco (I want to say at the Embarcadero center?), maybe we cried at the same screening!

the Bay Area has seen at least 20 theatre closures in the 22 years since I first lived there my freshman year of college. it's bleak.
